Whizdom Role – Dean joined Whizdom in November 2020 in the role of Business and Client Manager. Dean undertakes Business Development and Client Management activities with a focus on major accounts, including Federal Government Departments with large contractor workforces. Dean works alongside our other Business and Recruitment Managers to ensure clients resourcing needs are met. Dean is a certified APSCo Australia Recruitment Professional.

Experience - Dean has over 25 years’ experience across the Defence and Security industry. Dean started his career in the Royal Australian Air Force as a Computer Systems Engineer before exploring other ICT roles in Canberra. After a long term career in IT, Dean went into more senior leadership roles as the Business Development Manager for multiple Defence Industry companies before running his own business providing military members with transitional services. Prior to coming to Whizdom, Dean was the Chief Executive Officer for Effective People in Canberra. Along with two other roles in the recruitment industry, Dean comes to Whizdom with over 7 years recruitment experience.

Social and Wellbeing - Those who know Dean know that he enjoys the odd game of Golf from time to time and is a passionate basketball and AFL player. He now enjoys his free time with his young family travelling as much as possible around Australia.
