Whizdom Role

Ellie joined Whizdom in January 2019 working with the finance team for end-to-end payroll processing in accordance with statutory and federal legislations, dealing with complex payroll adjustments such as entitlements, deductions and termination payments, as well as advanced payroll salary sacrifice packaging, such as Novated Lease, LAFHA and more. She is also responsible for financial duties which include accounts payable, receivable, end of period reconciliation and internal statement.

She also takes action on complex taxation issues and reporting tasks, making sure the GST, IAS, BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax is in compliance. Meanwhile, Ellie works closely with the team in EOFY tasks and assist in external auditing.

Experience

Ellie holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Accounting from University of Canberra in 2013. As this is her first job, she keeps learning and expanding her accounting-related knowledge at Whizdom.

Why Whizdom

Ellie found her work life balance at Whizdom, along with the whole supportive team working together with her. She would like to add her value with accounting, taxation and payroll knowledge into the recruitment industry.

Social and Wellbeing

When Ellie is out of the office, she likes to go jogging or ride her bicycle around the suburb where she lives. She also loves cooking and watercolour painting.
