Job Description

As an Information Architect, you’ll work in a multi-disciplinary team who builds world class government digital services. You’ll start by helping us to reimagine the clients website so it continues to meet the needs of our clients into the future. You will need to work in partnership with multiple stakeholders and align the user needs with system capabilities and organisational objectives. 
If you’ve ever visited a government website and thought “if I designed this, I’d make it so much easier to navigate” then this role is for you.
You will quickly acquire an understanding of the clients internal and external digital services and have the ability to review and translate existing research. While you’ll be responsible for your performance and work ethic, we’re looking for team players – our teams succeed and fail together. 

Experience required:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience required 
• Extensive experience in strategically organising complex government transactional websites 
• Ability to work within a team of content and accessibility specialists, service designers, user researchers and UX specialists to determine hierarchies of information and content flow 
• Experience planning, conducting, analysing and making recommendations on IA trends which lead to innovative service improvements and experiences 
• Expertise in building and testing IA concepts and prototypes, supported by experts in content, solution design and other relevant disciplines 
• Demonstrated experience in preparing workflow diagrams, storyboards, navigation rules, site maps and iterating IA concepts based on user feedback 
• Demonstrated experience in Human Centred Design 
• Experience in Design Thinking practices and co-design activities 
• Champion of the Digital Service Standard (DSS) and Service Design and Delivery Process (SDDP) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), usability standards and other mandatory requirements 
• Highly knowledgeable in research and design methodology 
• Demonstrated experience working on operational/live services 
• Exceptional communication, organisational and interpersonal skills 
• Experience working in a fast paced environment, handling and coordinating multiple projects 
• Experience in working in Agile is highly desirable 
• Successful track record working in cross-functional teams 
• Motivated, positive & enthusiastic
