Job Description
The Technical Reporting Analyst is part of the Tools and Collaboration Team within the Department Program Management Office (PMO) and will provide high quality services across multiple programs and projects.
The Department stakeholders range from project team members to interagency executives, all requiring a very high standard of accurate and informative information and reporting.
The Technical Reporting Analyst will assist in the design, production, maintenance and support of the Departments program's Power BI reporting suite. This includes the collation of requirements, data sets, automation, documentation and training materials to support effective reporting.
The Technical Reporting Analyst will be required to administer the Departments program's SharePoint sites. In this capability, the Technical Reporting Analyst is required to identify and collate reporting data as well as ensure users are onboarded and governed effectively.
Skills and Experience Required:
Mandatory Minimum one year Power BI Report Development experience Understanding and demonstrated use of the DAX Power BI reporting language Strong reporting background for executive business stakeholders Excellent stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills Desirable One year SharePoint user experience Exposure to Software Lifecycle (design, development, testing) Project Management training or certification (PMBOK, PRINCE2 similar) Undergraduate Degree in Business, Commerce or equivalent Technical field Advanced knowledge of MS SharePoint, MS Power BI Working knowledge of MS suite, MS Project Online, JIRA and ALM
Location and Contract Term: Melbourne based role. 12 month contract 1 July 2019 - 30 June 2020. 2 x 12 month contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. The ablility to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance is required.
