Job Description

Seeking an experienced Cyber Threat Analyst to participate in the incremental development of CTI analytical tradecraft and associated standard operating procedures (SOPs), designed to exploit current and historical threat event cyber data, fused with all source reporting to produce actionable tactical intelligence on threat actors targeting our clients SIE.

Responsibilities: 

  1. Knowledge and practical understanding of computer operating systems, files systems and hardware (All)
  2. Knowledge and practical understanding of computer programming languages (All)
  3. Knowledge and practical understanding of cyber security devices and applications (All)
  4. Knowledge and practical understanding of offensive cyber operations. (All)
  5. Knowledge and practical understanding of investigation practice and intelligence analytical techniques
  6. Skill and experience in intelligence research and analysis. (All)
  7. Minimum 5 years’ experience in at least one of the following disciplines:
  8. Conducting investigations on cyber event data to determine threat adversary actions against a network. (FORENSICS)
  9. The application of intelligence analytical tradecraft including cyber specific threat modelling.
  10. Enterprise level penetration testing (PENTEST)
  11. Minimum 5 years’ experience in report and assessment writing tailored to both technical and lay audiences to provide decision support. (All)
  12. Skill in verbal communications, conveying technical information appropriately terms to provide decision support to both technical security analysts and leadership. (All)
  13. Skill and experience both working independently and in small teams within the our clients environments; (Preferred) 
  14. Knowledge and practical understanding of ICT Networking, both devices and communication protocols. (All)
Be outcomes and customer focused, and have demonstrable experience eliciting customer requirements through stakeholder engagement. Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field;

Location and role:
 
Canberra location / 24 month contract role + extension
 

Security Requirements:

Must have minimum NV2 minimum - PV preferred
