Job Description

Integration Services under EST branch consist of 4 logical teams of 35 staff based in Canberra and Brisbane. 

Responsibilities:
Depending on experience, your role can be most or all of the followings: 
• Provide infrastructure and administrator support for WebSphere Message Broker IIB10 based solutions and WebSphere MQ (Various versions) 
• Install and configure MQ & Broker, Design and configure MQ Infrastructure, Deploy MQ & Message Broker packages 
• Commission and/or decommission Mainframe connectivity 
• Monitor & troubleshoot apps & Env failures, Install & configure Omegamon agents in lower environments 
• Trouble shooting in lower environments (L1,2 & 3), Support Cloud environment in Level 4 and 5 
• Design, build and configure IIB Interfaces, configure Message Queues, problem/performance analysis and resolution 
• Provide production system support, and user support in line with the Service Level Agreement 
• Maintain very good knowledge of the EST development life cycle methodology, standards and patterns in delivering solutions 
• Provide specialist support to management, team members, and end users in the area of the EAI product set and implementation Provide mentoring and on the job training to other Integration-Services staff 
• Provide 'on-call' and out of hours support as agreed and required 
• Stay abreast of latest technology trends and direction, and assess relevance to the companies EST 

Experience:
1) Extensive knowledge and experience in development and installation of IIB10 and WMQ version 8 and 9.1 
2) Extensive knowledge and experience in IBM MQ and IIB tools: 
(MO71, Tivoli Omegamon, Tivoli Editor, RFHUtility, FTP, Qload, SaveQmgr, IIB Toolkit, ODBC SQL (connection SQL database)) 
3) Extensive knowledge and experience in MQSC and MQSI commands 
4) Knowledge and experience in application development in WMB and IIB 
5) Extensive knowledge and experience in Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, and 2016 
6) Extensive knowledge and experience in: VB scripts, DOS commands scripts, HTML applications, PowerShell commands scripts 

Be accountable for the investigation and resolution of issues with IIB10 and MQ development and maintenance procedures and other related product features. 
Has a sufficient breadth of expertise to develop and deploy IIB10 and MQ components into various environments, verify deployments, and schedule and deliver changes to agreed service levels and release schedules 
Work collaboratively in a team based environment; actively participate in team meetings and support the work area and team objectives 
Analyse and interpret existing operating policies to determine the appropriate course of action to meet changing client needs. 
Undertake research of current IT system practices and investigate and resolve any problems identified by stakeholders. 
Identify risks and uncertainties and apply established processes, methodologies and procedures to system maintenance, installation and problem resolution 
Build and sustain relationships and liaise with clients and stakeholders to exchange information and discuss technical or administrative issues to resolve problems or to gain cooperation 
Keep self and others informed by sharing knowledge and be adaptable to apply new tools and methodologies 
Apply skills to design, implement and support workable solutions to meet business requirements and document process requirements 
Maintain effective performance levels and own expertise and share knowledge

Location and Contract Term:

 

Canberra location for 12 months + extension.
