The Capability Development Management and Reporting Tool (CDMRT) is a portfolio information management system that is used to capture portfolio, program and project information throughout the life of a capability project, including planning, delivery, sustainment through to disposal.
CDMRT functions will be transitioned into a new replacement system, CapabilityOne, resulting in several new capability management modules to support various phases of the capability lifecycle. CapabilityOne is being developed using .Net frameworks, C#, SQL Server databases, and COGNOS Frameworks and reporting.
The Software Developer will have the skills and experiences identified below, and will be integral to maintaing CDMRT and developing new CapabilityOne modules.
Skills and Qualifications/Deliverables:
Software Development Services
1. Provide Software Development services for CDMRT and CapabilityOne software incluing:
a) Design, code, test, correct and document software programs and scripts to deliver against agreed requirements using the following technologies:
ii) .Net frameworks
iv) SQL Server Databases
v) Java Script
vi) HTML and CSS
vii) Team Foundation Server
viii) Entity Framework Code First
b) Provide quality assurance by reviewing the CDMRT and CapabilityOne code developed by other software developers (peer review);
c) Contribute to the ongoing improvement of CapabilityOne software development processes using Defence and industry best practices;
d) Adhere to agreed development team processes; and
e) Develop and update technical documentation.
2. Provide advice, guidance and assistance and support to other team members, APS and third parties as required.
Software Release Management Services
3. Services to manage the release of CDMRT and CapabilityOne software on UAT and production environments include :
a) Enable planned and controlled deployment of new software releases into a user acceptance or production environment by managing processes to build, test and deploy new or modified CDMRT and CapabilityOne software releases;
b) Follow, and improve, software release management processes using Defence and industry best practices;
c) Liaise with CDMRT and/or CapabilityOne users to schedule releases; and
d) Develop and update technical documentation.
4. Provide advice, guidance and assistance and support to other team members, APS and third parties as required.
