Job Description

The Role: 

CDMRT and CapabilityOne

The Capability Development Management and Reporting Tool (CDMRT) is a portfolio information management system that is used to capture portfolio, program and project information throughout the life of a capability project, including planning, delivery, sustainment through to disposal.

CDMRT functions will be transitioned into a new replacement system, CapabilityOne,  resulting in several new capability management modules to support various phases of the capability lifecycle. CapabilityOne is being developed using .Net frameworks, C#, SQL Server databases, and COGNOS Frameworks and reporting. 

The Business Intelligence developer will have the skills and experiences identified below, and will be integral to maintaing and developing new Business Intelligence reports and dashboards for CDMRT and CapabilityOne databases.


Skills and Qualifications/Deliverables:

Business Intelligence Services 

1. Services required to provide Business Intelligence for CDMRT and CapabilityOne will include:

a) Working with users to understand information requirements for reports, dashboards and other visualisations;

b) Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence reports, dashboards and/or visualisations;

c) Perform unit testing and fix defects;

d) Development and support of the COGNOS Framework Manager;

e) Development and support of COGNOS reports;

f) Development and support of Online Analytic Processing (OLAP) cube solutions; 

g) Administration of COGNOS; 

h) Perform database queries and database administration tasks using SQL Server toolset; 

i) Support data Extract / Transform / Load (ETL) frameworks; and

j) Develop and update technical documentation. 

2. Provide advice, guidance and assistance and support to other team members, APS and third parties as required.
