Job Description
The Capability Development Management and Reporting Tool (CDMRT) is a portfolio information management system that is used to capture portfolio, program and project information throughout the life of a capability project, including planning, delivery, sustainment through to disposal.
CDMRT functions will be transitioned into a new replacement system, CapabilityOne, resulting in several new capability management modules to support various phases of the capability lifecycle. CapabilityOne is being developed using .Net frameworks, C#, SQL Server databases, and COGNOS Frameworks and reporting.
The User Experience Software Developer will have the skills and experiences identified below, and will be integral to designing user interfaces for the new CapabilityOne portfolio information management modules.
Skills/Qualifications and Deliverables:
User Experience Software Development Services
1. Services provided by the UX Software Developer will include:
a) Work with Business Analyst and Users to understand Business and User requirements;
b) Analyse User's interactions with CDMRT and CapabilityOne, and the implications for software development;
c) Develop wireframes, prototypes and other user interface artefacts;
d) Design solutions to accommodate user tasks, interactions, and interfaces to meet user requirements, and communicate these to stakeholders at different levels;
e) Design, code, test, correct and document complex software programs and scripts to deliver against agreed requirements;
f) Provide quality assurance by reviewing the CDMRT and CapabilityOne code developed by other software developers (peer review);
g) Contribute to the ongoing improvement of CapabilityOne software development processes using Defence and industry best practices, and conforming to standards;
h) Adhere to agreed development team processes; and
i) Develop and update technical documentation.
2. Provide advice, guidance and assistance and support to other team members, APS and third parties as required.
