Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic project schedulers to join a small team in the development of a new Schedule Management function in the Departments Smarter Data area. You will play a strong role in the design, build and running of this critical enabling function to support the Departments Data and Analytics capability.

Key Duties: 

As this is a new function, you will help design, build and deploy a range of processes utilising existing tools/systems which support work management and scheduling with a focus on innovation and value delivery. These will provide the insight and data needed to understand and articulate the known demand, required resources, and optimal sequencing to deliver workloads in the immediate and near future.

You will be responsible for working closely with a wide range of stakeholders to co-ordinating and delivering detailed project schedules for complex, technical or sensitive projects that impact on strategic or operational outcomes for the agency, facilitate strategic decision making, and deliver optimal sequencing of work to deliver the right outcomes at the right time. You will also provide insight, recommendations and drive actions which enable the delivery of efficient and effective outcomes, and improve the delivery confidence of Smarter Data’s work. You will have demonstrated previous experience working in project, program and/or portfolio environments


Skills and Experience Required:

• Conducts detailed planning and scheduling

• Identifies, analyses and responds to risks

• Delivers customer advice

• Leads strategic planning processes

• Manages relationships

• Team Foundation Server (TFS) is desirable


Location and Contract Term: Melbourne based role. Aprox start date of 21 October 2019 with contract till 30 June 2020. Extension options pending budget and delegate approval
