Job Description

The Department requires an experienced ArcSight Specialist. 

Services/work required

The services will include and not be limited to:

  • Deliver services across multiple projects in accordance with the department’s project management and business delivery frameworks;
  • Design, install and configure ArcSight product;
  • Identify and implement use cases;
  • Day-to-day Business As Usual (BAU) activities on existing ArcSight implementations including:
    • System health checks;
    • Connector design and implementation;
    • ArcSight report automation;
  • Contribute to the consolidated ArcSight Instance design and build, consisting of:
    • HLD Design;
    • Detailed Design; 
    • Detailed Bill of Materials;
  • Undertake the build activities to implement the consolidated Arc-Sight Instance;
  • Refine existing business cases within ArcSight based on customer requirements;
  • Create new use cases for implementation on required instance of ArcSight;

Specified Personnel will be required to produce the following:
  • Detailed ArcSight design;
  • Use case high level design;
  • BAU Standard Operating Procedures Knowledge Based Articles; 
  • Changes to associated policy documents.
Mandatory/Essential Criteria:
  • Experience in the configuration of the ArcSight ESM, including the ability to deploy ArcSight SmartConnector and FlexConnector to relevant log sources;
  • Proven development of procedures to support the use of ArcSight within a Security Operations Centre (SOC);
  • Configuration and management of ArcSight dashboards;
  • Use of ArcSight as an investigation tool; 
  • Experience in the creation or editing of SOPs to ensure the consistent approach to managing the environment.
  • Specified Personnel must hold a current security clearance OR be willing to obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to commencement (baseline clearance as a minimum);
  • Specified Personnel must be willing to undergo and obtain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC);
Security requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens to apply. The Department requires all specified personnel to have a minimum BASELINE security clearance prior or the ability to obtain and maintain.

Location and Contract Term: This is a Canberra based role. Contract till 30 June 2020. (start date is dependent on obtaining the Employment Suitability Clearance)
