The Department is setting up a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the whole of government Hosting Strategy.
The role of the business analyst is to develop the business case for a telecommunications network interconnecting data centres used by government agencies. You will be responsible for applying your domain knowledge to analyse and then align industry and government needs, requirements, operations and commercial motivations. You will be collaborating with a telecommunications subject matter expert.
The business case will inform advice/recommendations for decision making, strategy, briefing material and feasibility of a government telecommunications network. It will also help shape whole-of-government advice about the hosting, processing and securing of data managed by Australian Government agencies.
Depending upon progress, you may also assist in achieving other Hosting Strategy objectives.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in developing business cases for the Australian Public Service, including knowledge of the Budget process and ICT first and second business cases - 50%
- Experience in working on whole of government products - 40%
- Knowledge of high-speed telecommunications services for connecting geographically spread sites - 10%
Location and Contract Term:
Canberra based. 6 Month Contract with 1 x 6 Month extension option
Must be an Australian Citizen. Ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
