Job Description


A geospatial PPM analyst is required to support the management of the Precise Point Mensuration Program Management Office, Precise Point Mensuration certification activities and the development of Precise Point Mensuration products and services necessary to maintain Australia’s national accreditation in Precise Point Mensuration.


Skills and Knowledge required:


a.  A PV security clearance.

b. Demonstrated expertise in stereo imagery exploitation. Stereo-vision is a mandatory requirement.

c. Experience in ordering and maintaining imagery holdings, and managing requests for information relating to imagery, particularly stereo formats.

d. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, harness information and opportunities, and exercise good judgement, intelligence and common sense.

e. Demonstrated ability to conduct regular quality control on peer and self-produced products and work output to required standards.


Major Responsibilities:

The range of tasks to be undertaken include, but are not limited to:

a. Managing and developing geospatial products and programs relating to Precise Point Mensuration.

b. Create and maintain ongoing monthly and assessment datasets.

c. Liaise with external stakeholders, including foreign nationals and customers.

d. Maintenance of product standards, working level instructions and standard operating procedures in accordance with coalition standards.

e. Certify Australian geospatial analysts requiring the Precise Point Mensuration qualification.

f. Assist in the development, where required, of additional national Precise Point Mensuration work centres.

g. Achieve and maintain Precise Point Mensuration certification.

h. Produce and present high quality briefing products on Precise Point Mensuration


Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. Contract term - 24 months.


Security Requirements: Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12 month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
