Job Description

The role will need very high-level software development skills and a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical/non-technical personnel.
Skills and Knowledge required:
  1. Python
  2. Java
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Takes responsibility for the development of software using a variety of software languages (e.g. Python, Java) and development environments, to ensure it meets business requirements.
  2. Deliver scripting using a variety of languages (e.g. JavaScript) and secondary skills (e.g. SQL).
  3. Lead the development of software that supports high quality User Experience outcomes.
  4. Adhere to and improve software engineering processes.
  5. Contribute to and support leadership efforts to improve engineering processes.
  6. Identify system interdependencies and liaise with other system stakeholders to resolve conflict and coordinate integrated solutions.
  7. Provide guidance and direction to an integrated Agile team to meet the prioritised schedule of work.
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. 12 months contract.

Security Requirements: Must hold either a current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance OR have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded).
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
