Job Description

the Sustainment Manager will be responsible, under limited direction to develop and manage processes to adequately sustain the large complex project capability, consisting of a range of technical equipment including electronic access systems, desktop computing equipment, IP encryption equipment and will have a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical/non-technical personnel.
Skills and Knowledge required:
  1. Experience building computer images with Windows 10 and RAID.
  2. Experience performing minor customisation of html pages including the addition of links to documentation.
  3. Experience providing second tier customer support for applications including the recording of faults and identification of trends.
  4. Experience with Cisco network switch configuration and fault diagnosis.
  5. Desirable skills and knowledge include:
  • ICT system security including cryptographic technologies; and
  • Network security products including firewalls and IDS/IPS devices 
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Build, install and maintain Windows 10 images.
  2. Second level support for network and Windows 10 image issues including the recording of faults and identification of trends.
  3. Maintain a range of electronic key cabinets including uploading of new software and some minor maintenance on the associated mechanical mechanisms.
  4. Manage the removal of legacy equipment.
  5. Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures.
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. 24 months contract.
Security Requirements: Must hold either a current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance OR have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded).
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.
