Job Description

The Systems Development Managers has responsibility for providing vital project, operational and strategic cyber security subject matter expertise for the large complex Federal Government Department activities, with specific emphasis on the ongoing development of the Security Operations Centre, its form, function and core capabilities.
 
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Providing senior level SME advice and guidance in conduct and development of training exercises, scenarios and professional development activities in the large complex Federal Government Department.
  2. Plan, develop and define high level cyber security programs that contribute to the uplift of the maturity of the large complex Federal Government Department.
  3. Improve the processes, approaches and techniques used bythe large complex Federal Government Department in its preparedness and training programs.
  4. Lead the provision of authoritative advice and guidance to Senior Leadership Team on cyber security competency and development of Cyber Units.
  5. Contribute to the continuous improvement, alongside other leadership, of technical procedures, standards and methods.
  6. Attend workshops and meetings as directed by the management – engagement actively with stakeholders to provide project or capability-specific cyber security advice and assistance.
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. 12 months contract, 2 x 12 months at the option of the Commonwealth.
 
Security Requirements: NV1 or above please.
 
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 6.
