Job Description
The Role:
- Business hours support to the Chat system and end user base.
- 24/7 hrs On Call support to the Chat system and end user base
- Completion of all identified maintenance tasks on the Chat infrastructure
- Monitor server performance to identify potential issues early
- Perform server health checks
- Perform routine maintenance tasks (i.e. application log checking)
- Apply application hotfixes
- Apply service packs
- Review server event logs (daily) to identify errors
- Document standard operating procedures
- In addition to the sustainment and support responsibilities these resources will be utilised to assist in the Identification, design & implementation of infrastructure hardening for the Chat system.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential Criteria
- Windows Server administration
- Understanding of application clustering in a Windows environment
- Understanding of DNS and the various record types
- Host file administration and configuration
- PowerShell scripting
- Any MS SQL
- Familiar with XMPP messaging protocol
- Server application administration including M-Link, OpenFire and/or TacChat
- Deep Secure Chat Guard administration
- Familiar with Tigase
Canberra based. 12 Month Contract with possible extensions
Security Requirements:
Must be an Australian Citizen. NV2 Security Clearance
