Job Description
The Deployment Analyst will be responsible for the management of deployment planning and execution activities across testing and production environments.
Your responsibilities will include, but no limited to:
- Reporting to the deployment management lead and project manager on a regular basis, escalating items where necessary
- Providing deployment plan input to the project manager and delivery stream lead
- Supporting the project manager and delivery stream lead throughout the project delivery lifecycle
- Creating, reviewing, managing approval and rolling out deployment plans
- Facilitating conversations between the project delivery team and technology service management for change records
- Creating, maintaining and presenting dynamic diagrams for pre/main/post deployment activities
- Facilitating the creation, review, approval, roll out and execution of run sheets (deploy and back out)
- Creating and conducting technical deployment walkthroughs
- Setting up, managing and leading Control Room planning activities such as logistics, set-up, rosters, handover procedure and communication activities
- Leading the Control Room execution activities
- Collaborating with personnel from the Service Delivery and Transition Stream group on environment management, release and change management, and deployment-related test activities
- Coordinating with project manager and delivery stream lead on the creation of the Decision Framework (i.e. Go/No Go criteria and stakeholders, deployment escalation matrix and procedure, checkpoint management)
- Providing input to the project manager for the Go-Live Document, Delivery Readiness Dashboard and Deployment Minute
- Providing input to the project manager for the Change Acceptance Board (CAB), and weekly and monthly status reports
- Conducting post-deployment reviews, and document and implement continuous improvements
- Strong track record of supporting complex projects in previous engagements
- Strong command of the management of deployment activities in testing and production environments
- Strong experience with project lifecycle management tools such as ALM and Cherwell
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to precision
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills, including the use of data to inform communication
- Excellent at translating technical data into 'easy to understand' information
- Excellent at process and system improvement analysis
- Ability to identify, resolve and manage deployment risks and issues
- Advanced proficiency in Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook and SharePoint
Location and Contract Term:
Melbourne based. Until 30 June 2021 with a 12 month extension option
Security Requirements:
Must be an Australian Citizen with an eligibility to obtain and maintain a Federal Baseline Security Clearance.
