Job Description

The Kubernetes Engineer will be responsible for designing, automating and maintaining on premise Kubernetes solutions to meet security requirements in a classified network environment.  They should have expertise in private or public cloud computing using products like OpenShift, VMware Project Pacific, GKE, EKS or AKS.
Skills and Knowledge required:
  1. Have a Certified Kubernetes Administrator certificate.
  2. Knowledge or experience with ICT systems infrastructure, covering a range of physical and virtual environments.
  3. Knowledge of information systems security principles, practices, and technologies.
  4. Experience integrating and supporting Kubernetes security products such as Aquasec, Sysdig, NueVector or Twistlock
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for designing, building, and deploying a secure and scalable Kubernetes solution into a classified environment.
  2. Build pilot solutions and test with project customers.
  3. Ensure security compliance requirements are integrated in to planning and design activities.
  4. Develop documentation for the system such SOPs, HLD and As Built.
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. 12 months contract.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
