One of our Federal Government clients is seeking an energised and enthusiastic User Researcher to join their COVID-19 Digital Response team. As an experienced researcher, you will work in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the identification and prioritisation of work that is of the most benefit to users.
You will be responsible for building an understanding of users and their behaviour and providing insights about how users interact with the service to guide design decisions.
You will work closely with a team of designers to deliver solutions that respond directly to user needs and are appropriately tested. You will also be responsible for monitoring sentiment and existing issues with the COVID-19 response through other quantitative channels.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A solid understanding of user-centred design practices and how to embed them into an agile workflow to deliver timely findings
- Experience using a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods and can choose appropriate methods for different stages of the product lifecycle and situations
- An ability to deliver quickly and turn research data into clear findings that inform decisions. Experience involving colleagues and stakeholders in analysis and synthesis to increase consensus, challenge assumptions and advocate for user-centred decisions
- Experience including a diverse range of users in appropriate research activities to help teams deliver accessible and inclusive services
Location: Sydney OR Canberra based.
Contract Term: 6 months contract with a 6 month extension option
Security Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work requirement, our client has requested that candidates MUST have a current Baseline security clearance.
