Job Description

Our Large Federal Government client is seeking 2-3 x Level 3 Software Engineers or Computer Scientists to supplement existing Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC) workforce and become subject matter experts on design and implementation of the AS LDM
Skills and Knowledge required:
  1. Candidates are expected to be skilled in software engineering, and able to understand the application of software engineering and the AS LDM onto military vehicles, and other platforms such as a soldier’s equipment (military staff are available to provide context on use cases of vehicles). They should be able identify and explain design trade-offs to military, business and technical stakeholders, and clearly document design and implementation of the AS LDM.
  2. The candidates will also be expected to work with internal or external service providers to support development of AS LDM conformant software. In the immediate term, this will include a focus on development of AS LDM services and conformance testing tools. Longer term, the candidates will support conduct of testing by large complex government department projects in order to provide an assessment of conformance, and integration risk for the platform under test.
 
Estimated start date:     20-10-2020
Location of work:           Australian Capital Territory
Length of contract:        This contract for a max of 150 days in FY20/21 and 230 days in FY21/22 and FY22/23
Contract extensions:      Two x one year options to extend to be exercised at the Commonwealths discretion
 
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, we require a minimum NV1 security clearance level.
