Job Description

Our Large Federal Government has designed and built a shared Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform to support cloud adoption and capability development.  It leverages a wide range of AWS services and offerings. The team uses an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approach to support DevOps processes of automated testing, automated deployment and automated operations.  The main development stack is Terraform/Packer for IaC, Ansible for automation and Python for serverless – however candidates can expect to work with a variety of technologies including containerization. 
 
The ideal candidates would have experience in commercial cloud development (preferably with AWS), a background in software development and knowledge of DevOps tools and processes.  The candidates will be working in a small, multidisciplinary team with close contact with customers and stakeholders. 
 
Major Responsibilities / Skills and Knowledge required:
  1. Experience with support/development on commercial cloud platforms
  2. Experience designing, developing, testing and deploying software
  3. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and/or scripting for automation
  4. Experience in Windows and/or Linux system administration
  5. Ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders
  6. Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team in an Agile environment
 
Desirable skills
  1. Experience with IaC/scripting for automation using Terraform, Packer, Shell, Python, Powershell and Ansible
  2. Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
 
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, we require a minimum NV1 security clearance level.
