Job Description

Seeking a Junior Project Managers for the Security Enhancements Program (SEP)

The Role:

The Junior Project Managers will be responsible for the successful delivery of key work packages within the Program. The successful candidates will be required to work across the entire work package lifecycle from inception to closeout, including taking carriage of currently in-flight projects. The position will coordinate a technically complex work package across a range of physical security technologies within the program.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with business areas and technical experts to successfully deliver their work packages. The successful candidate will also be required to assist the Program Manager across the program.

Duties: The successful candidates will be required to manage all aspects of their work packages and undertake the following (but not limited to) tasks:

• Development and management of project/work package plans, schedules and budget forecasts; • Resource coordination; • Assistance with procurement activities; • Ensuring deliverables are to expected quality standards; • Program benefits realisation reporting; • Program scheduling and dependency mapping; • Program communications; • Risk and issues management; • Reporting; and • Provide support to the Program Manager and Program Executive as required. Skills and Experience: The successful candidate will have need to demonstrate the following: • Successful coordination or management of small to medium projects in complex, fast paced environments; • The ability and confidence to work collaboratively as part of a high performing team/organisation, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and/or external stakeholders to identify, deliver high quality business outcomes; • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills; • A demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making, including high quality project reporting; • An understanding of physical and technical security; • Outstanding written and oral communication skills;


Skills and Experience Required
Essential criteria,
  • Demonstrated skills and experience (Respondents are required to provide a CV for each candidate showing skills and experience against the requirements)
  • Referee (Respondents are to provide names and contact details of two current referees )
  • A current Australian Government Negative Vetting 2 security clearance.
Location and Contract Term:

Canberra Based – 5 Month Contract with 1 x 12 months extension options  

Security Requirements:

Must be an Australian Citizen. NV2 Security Clearance is required
