Job Description

Our Large Federal Government client has a requirement for a Business Availability Manager to develop, enhance and manage ongoing relationships and activities between the Vendor, Customer, Executive and Users. The Business Availability Manager is responsible for the smooth delivery and operation of large complex government department services & systems.
 
Skills and Knowledge:
  1. Excellent knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks including the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
  2. Knowledge of the Business Analysis Body Of Knowledge (BABOK) or Agile Business Analysis practices.
 
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Recommend and implement service improvements by assessing business requirements, user feedback, and operational system reports.
  2. Extract data and run system reports to identify and report issues with system reliability that may impact the ongoing successful delivery of services.
  3. Work with system owners to document and publish disaster recovery plans for key systems.
  4. Review ICT change requests to ensure that business requirements are considered and negative impact to system availability is minimised.
  5. Liaise with customers and users to ensure effective communication of system performance.
 
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.
 
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. 24-month contract.
 
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
