Job Description

Project Support Officers are required to undertake the administrative support for a range of technically orientated projects. The Project Support Officer will be responsible for undertaking a range of general administrative tasks including maintaining Risk Registers, Program and Project SharePoint sites and configuration management of project artefacts within the large complex government department EDRMS. The candidate will have a proven history of working in complex government department   projects and contributing to the organisational capability within the project.

Major Responsibilities / Skills and Knowledge required:
  1. Maintain program and project SharePoint sites; specifically setting up and maintaining access controls and storing documents for sharing with team members.
  2. Maintain program and project Risk Registers; including regular reviews and updates; advising team members if they have been nominated to execute risk treatment; and facilitating project risk workshops.
  3. Maintain project documentation including establishment of a document library and control methods for finalised project documents. Ensure that all final documents meet audit requirements and are easily retrievable.
  4. Collaborate within the specialised project procurement team to assist with delivery of capability through complex procurements.
  5. Perform configuration management within the large complex government department Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
  6. Provide general office and administrative support to the Program Office.
Desirable criteria
  1. Demonstrated administration and organisational skills within a large complex government department’s Desktop Environments.
  2. Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
  3. Experience with the Commonwealth complex procurement process, including the tendering process, and managing contracts, is desirable.
Estimated start date: 01-03-2021.
Location of work: Australian Capital Territory
Length of contract: 12 months
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, we require a minimum NV1 security clearance level.
