Job Description

The Software Developer will be responsible for working under direction as a member of a team responsible for developing software, integrating Commercial Off the Shelf and Government Off the Shelf software, documenting technical processes and assisting with testing and deployment.

Skills and Knowledge:
  1. Linux Systems Administration
  2. OpenStack or Cloud compute platforms
  3. Andriod experience
  4. Experience with Python, Django, Git and DevOps pipelines
Major Responsibilities
  1. Develop and integrate complex programs using a variety of software languages (e.g. Python, Java) and development environments to achieve a well-engineered result
  2. Deliver scripting using a variety of languages (e.g. JavaScript) and secondary skills (e.g. SQL).
  3. Contribute to the development of software that supports high quality User Experience outcomes.
  4. Adhere to and improve software engineering processes.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. Contract Terms between 12 and 24 months will be considered.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
