Job Description

The Test Manager will need to ensure capability delivered through the large complex government department’s Programs meet the identified business need. Test Managers provide an objective narrative regarding software health such as the conformance of the product to requirements, the usability of the product, any known risks and any unresolved defects.

Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Demonstrated understanding of the ICT software development cycle with an emphasis on test strategy, management methodologies and outcome reporting.
  2. Experience in testing complex integrated solutions comprising of Commercial off-the-shelf and/or bespoke components with multiple system interfaces.
  3. Experience in Test Management within an agile scrum context and ability to implement JIRA as a test management tool (Desirable.)
Major Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and manage test processes including test planning, resources, time frames, risk assessments, test deliverables and traceability matrices.
  2. Analyse and report on test activities and outcomes and raise, prioritise, and manage defects using appropriate test management tools.
  3. Coordinate the preparations for evaluations and in the operation of the user experience (UX) test environment.
  4. Coordinate the collection of feedback on the developing UX design from end users and other representative sources.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. Contract Terms between 12 and 24 months will be considered.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
