Job Description

Seeking a Executive Coach to work with the Executive Leadership group within the Division to upskill and coach Directors to achieve quality outcomes and become high performing leaders  

The Role:

This position will: - Work with the Senior Executive team to understand needs and expectations, and work with the leadership team to manage and execute high quality outcomes - Coach Executive Leaders to produce quality work, establishing strong processes to manage workload and effectively manage upwards - Design and implement fit for purpose solutions for leaders to apply, based on individual styles of working - Assist in developing capability at all levels throughout the Division to ensure there is depth and quality in our APS staff

The Executive Coach is responsible for:
  • Coaching Directors across the division to develop high performing teams and effectively manage upwards
  • Providing support and guidance on effective processes to manage high workload and help implement recommendations with Directors
  • Coach teams on implementing changes to improve quality of work and meet expectations of the Agency
  • Building trust and confidence with Leadership team to foster good culture
  • Providing guidance to the overall performance of the Directors and their teams
  • Assist leadership team to develop capability at all levels within their teams
 

Skills and Experience Required
Essential criteria
  • Strong organisational skills, communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • Proven experience successfully coaching high pressure teams to improve quality of work
  • Proven experience working with leaders to implement changes to better manage large workloads
  • Demonstrated experience coaching leaders to manage upwards and meet senior executive expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to provide on-the-job coaching to leaders juggling multiple priorities
Desirable criteria
  • Positive mindset to support leaders through change in a high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering strong culture within teams

Location and Contract Term:

Canberra or Sydney Based –6 Month Contract with 1 x 6 Months contract extension options

Security Requirements:

Must be an Australian Citizen. Ability to obtain baseline security clearance
