Job Description

Within the Information function a Level 2 Records & Knowledge Management Officer is accountable under routine direction to perform and achieve straightforward information and records management work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have a basic understanding of and compliance with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and our Large Federal Government client’s mission and policy requirements.
A Level 2 Records & Knowledge Management Officer will perform work against established priorities and procedures. They will be responsible for the completion of allocated tasks within required timeframes and procedures which are subject to close monitoring by more senior Defence employees. They may be required to undertake a range of procedural, clerical, and administrative support tasks to support their work unit. They will contribute to team discussions to achieve outcomes and will seek assistance when required.

Major Responsibilities / Skills and Knowledge required:
  1. Perform straightforward information and records management administrative activities in accordance with relevant legislative and large government department policies and procedures.
  2. Contribute to the work of the team consistent with a work plan.
  3. Acquire and apply an understanding of information and records management policies, procedures and systems.
  4. Research information relevant to work tasks and responsibilities.
  5. Share information with the team and contribute to team discussions.
  6. Work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member.
  7. Take the initiative to learn and comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
  8. Seek feedback from their supervisor to gauge satisfaction and seek assistance when required. Experience using cyber security products to deliver cyber security outcomes in the Australian Federal Government.
 
Estimated start date: 01-07-2021
Location of work: Australian Capital Territory
Length of contract: 12 months that includes an initial 3 month probation
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, we require the minimum of Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Baseline security clearance.
