Job Description

The Role:

The Department has a requirement for a Test Analyst Resource to work with the Program CTO Change Program to deliver the next generation of LEMF capability. The Test Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the Program of work meets the deliverables by ensuring the solution implementation is error-free and fit for purpose. 

Key Duties: 

• Lead the testing effort on behalf of the project team
• Develop testing strategies and plans in conjunction with the solution vendor, other team members and subject matter experts to ensure the business solution is tested efficiently and effectively
• Oversee and develop test scripts for both functional and non-functional requirements
• Conduct business system testing and validate results
• Test the solution in conjunction with system matter experts or end-users to ensure the procedures, processes and system meet business requirements
• Prepare and execute test cases as required for functional and data migration tests
• Prepare testing reports and test summaries for each release
• Work effectively with vendors and Department personnel in a small team environment

 

Skills and Experience Required:

Mandatory
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in business system and technical testing roles
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and testing strategies and plans for complex business systems
  • Experience with leading functional and acceptance testing teams
  • Experience in testing electronic forms
  • Experience in assisting and guiding end users perform UAT
Highly Desirable
  • Experience with leading functional and acceptance testing teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively
 
Desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry certifications
 

Location and Contract Term: This is a Canberra based role. 12 month contract from commencement date (approx 1 July) Extension options up to 12 months pending budget and delegate approval.


Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens to apply. The ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 security clearance is required.
