Job Description

Our Government Client is currently seeking for a HR Advisor – L&D to join the team in Canberra. Please contact Connie ASAP if you are interested in this role.

About the Role:

The HR Advisor role within Strategic HR and Corporate provides administrative and coordination
support for a suite of people capability development initiatives delivered by the Learning and
Development team. The role is vital to ensuring the smooth delivery of these important programs
and for supporting seamless management of the team’s administrative functions.

1. Administer several Human Resources initiatives aimed at enhancing capability of employees
across the organisation.
2. Implement projects and programs to meet identified organisational needs. This includes
project scoping and planning, scheduling and coordination of activities, monitoring income
and expenditure as well as documentation management.
3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to determine requirements and liaise with
customers to ensure satisfaction with outcomes.
4. Capture and manage information on HR systems and analyse the data to produce reports
and other outputs.
5. This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.

About You:

Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge
1. Ability to conduct research, analyse and report data to inform the development and
communication of HR solutions and related projects.
2. Basic HR knowledge in talent management, recruitment, workforce planning, data analytics,
and in-depth knowledge in the areas of training and development and legislation relating to
employment and conditions.

Behavioural Capabilities
1. Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple
priorities to meet competing deadlines.
2. Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to develop and maintain
productive and collaborative working relationships.

Compliance Requirements / Qualifications
1. Qualifications in Training and Assessment, organisational development or a related
discipline are highly desirable or relevant experience in a similar role.
2. An ACT Government Baseline clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is required for this

Estimated start date: ASAP (Pending on national police check and reference check)

Contract term: 3 month contract

Eligibility/Other Requirements: To be eligible for temporary employment within the ACT Public Service you must be in Australia on a visa with work rights or be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. A CMTEDD baseline security clearance is required for this role.
