Job Description

The ICT Security Specialist will be accountable under general direction to establish, manage and administer an organisation's ICT security policy and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place, and minimise the risk of internal and external security threats.
The role will require ICT security specialist skills and a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical/non-technical personnel.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to design of ICT Security policy and documentation, and implement practices, technologies and governance.
  2. Champion the security accreditation process for the project.
  3. Liaise between all stakeholders and identify their requirements.
  4. Liaise with multiple project and capability stakeholders to assist in design and documentation of ICT system security controls.
  5. Support and coordinate security implementation, evaluation, and accreditation activity.
  6. Contribute to the analysis and assessment of ICT system security documentation and configuration, including the use of vulnerability assessment tools.
 
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. Contract terms between 12 and 24 months will be considered
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
