Job Description

The Security Practitioner is responsible for liaising closely with the engineering staff and Certification and Accreditation Authorities responsible for describing the cyber security threats and risks with delivery of a solution.
The Security Practitioner will develop a range of security documents required for the accreditation of Cyber Security capabilities whilst working cohesively and flexibly with our Large Federal Government client stakeholders and more widely with the Australian Signals Directorate and industry stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and leading threat risk assessment activities; research information security standards; conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
  2. Review existing system security measures, recommend and implement enhancements.
  3. Develop, deliver and update System Accreditation Plan (SAP), Security Risk Management Plan (SRMP) and other relevant documents to ensure Capability solution architecture/design(s) are able to sufficiently mitigate the identified threats.
  4. Analyse, develop, deliver and maintain documentation supporting the security posture of a range of cyber security capabilities
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. Up to 24 months from the commencement date
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
