Job Description

The IT Service Manager – Operations (NOC and DOC) is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex ICT service provision work within an integrated workforce, requiring in-depth knowledge of the ICT service delivery function with a focus on network and data operations.
We are looking for applicants who can think critically, can communicate with both technical and non-technical people, want to continue learning and developing their skills, and are passionate about working with others.

Skills and Knowledge:

  1. ITIL v3 Foundation (mandatory)
  2. ITIL Intermediate Service Operations (SO) (Highly Desirable)
  3. ITIL v4 Managing Professional (Desirable)
  4. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Service Management environment.
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with IT and Network Management on planning, monitoring, and supporting technology needs.
  2. Manage Vendor performance and network operations.
  3. Analyse existing network operations and makes recommendations for improvement.
  4. Monitor the deployment of network applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications.
  5. Contribute directly to project network operation documentation, including requirements gathering, information assurance, audit reporting, status updates, and lessons learned.
  6. Develop, implement and review relevant policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and the provision of expert policy advice.
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. 12 months from contract commencement
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
