Job Description

The Role:

A large Federal Government Agency is seeking to engage an experienced Master Scheduler who will;

•Assist Program Managers in the preparation of program and project schedules and uploading milestones in identified tool •Automate the upload of Microsoft Schedules milestones into identified tool; •Automate the upload of Agile Scheduling milestones into identified tool; •Work effectively in a small team environment; •Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other teams; and •Record and maintain files/information in accordance with Department requirements •Work effectively in a small team environment; •Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other team members; and •Record and maintain files/information in accordance with Department requirements.  

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Senior Scheduler (Minimum 5 years’ experience scheduling experience, andexperience at the program level)
  • Prince2 Foundation Member
  • Experience in the use of MS Project 2013/2016
  • Strong planning, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in software lifecycle planning
  • Demonstrated understanding of PRINCE2 methodology
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAFE Agile Methodology
  • Formal qualification from a recognised tertiary institution or demonstrated skills in a similar role
  • Ability to manage multiple program/project schedules
  • Ability to support program scheduling activities, and drive program/project managers to deliver against agreed baselines/scopes.

Location and Contract Term: This is a Canberra based role. 12 month contract from start date and 1 x 12 month contract extension option pending budget and delegate approval


Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens to apply for this role. The ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance is required.
