Job Description

The System Security Architect/Engineer is responsible for liaising closely with the Certification and Accreditation Authorities responsible for describing the cyber security threats and risks with delivery of a solution.
The System Security Architect/Engineer will develop the security architecture/design for Cyber Security Capability whilst working cohesively and flexibly with stakeholders for our Large Federal Government client.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and leading threat risk assessment activities; research information security standards; conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
  2. Architect solutions that deliver to the large complex government department Mitigation strategies and meet the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF and the Australian Government Information.
  3. Review existing system security measures, recommend and implement enhancements.
  4. Develop, deliver and update System Accreditation Plan (SAP), Security Risk Management Plan (SRMP) to ensure Capability solution architecture/design(s) are able to sufficiently mitigate the identified threats.
Location and Contract Term: The role is based in Canberra. 24 month contract terms will be considered.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.
