About the Role:

As part of the Human Resources Information Management Solution (HRIMS) Program, the role is to responsible for controlling and administering communiations between the HRIMS Program and the ACT Government end users. 

This role is responsible for the development and delivery of timely end user communication and engagement activity.

As Communications Manager you will be required to:
  1. Independently plan and drive multiple engagement and communication related activities with end user business stakeholders across the ACT Government.
  2. As part of the HRIMS Program Team develop communication planning and artifacts that support the adoption of the HRIMS.
  3. Organise, plan and facilitate workshops, forums, demonstrations and meetings with business stakeholders to support the broader HRIMS adoptoin.
  4. Chair the community of practice that acts as the HRIMS Communication Working Group, providing ACT Government insight into HRIMS communication delivery to end users.
  5. Liaise with business units across Shared Services and key Directorate stakeholders to coordinate and publish communications on the intranet, online forums, and in print.  
  6. Manage multiple priorities and accomplish goals within tight time-frames. 
About You:

  1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and collaborate effectively with senior staff and stakeholders.
  2. Well developed writing skills and ability to prepare communication materials including interpreting technical messages to a variety of audiences.
  3. Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
  4. Proven high-level organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and competing priorities in order to meet tight deadlines.
  5. Understanding of the ADKAR model and its application in achieving adoption and usage.
  6. Relevant qualifications in a recognised communication discipline and/or change management, or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential.

Length of contract: 12 Months

  • To be eligible for employment for this role, you must be in Australia on a visa with work rights or be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • A National Police Check is required for the successful candidate before starting the work
