Overview
One of our Federal Government clients has a requirement for a Senior .Net Full-Stack Developer with experience in large scale development to work on various IT development projects within its IT Construct section. Required skills and experience for this role include:

Technologies
  • Over 10 years .Net development experience (Framework / Core) working on large scale projects, with experience across all stacks (UI, Integration, Backend services, database design).
  • Experience in database modelling and SQL Server development, with a full understanding of performance impact on query design.
  • Extensive experience in the development of .Net systems with integration to heterogeneous systems, including integration with mainframe using different technologies such as ESB, MSMQ, RabitMQ and IBM MQ.
  • Experience in UI development using Angular, Type script, Javascript and state management (Redux / Ngrx) other technologies.
Security
  • Experience in software development factoring security at the centre of the design.
  • Strong understanding of ISM.
  • Extensive experience in software development implementing role base access, auditing and integration with AD, ADFS, LDAP, certificates authentication.
Deployment
  • Experience using CICD/DevOps/TFS, continuous integration, automated unit testing.
  • Strong understanding of how large-scale software is deployed.
Performance

Experience developing scalable web services using IIS, load balancers, web farms and/or single page applications.

Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with a “can-do” attitude, along with an eagerness to learn new skills, mentor junior team members and promote good development and/or engineering practices.
  • Maintaining an agile mindset, with experience in delivering software using both agile and waterfall techniques.
  • Capability to create detail design documentation and knowledge of UML, Visio and EA Sparx.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, including with stakeholders and technical staff, regarding all technical aspects of projects.
  • Attend and/or lead meetings, as required, with particular with consideration of the following:
    • Perform problem solving and troubleshooting on complex business and technical issues;
    • Security considerations in ICT systems design;
    • Liaise with testers about testing strategies and processes; and
    • Provide accurate timing estimates for project-related works required for ICT system development and integration.
  • Collaborate with architects to ensure new components consider the business requirements, and that performance and security requirements are properly documented.
  • Participate in reviews of system specifications including software applications and ensure architectural compliance and enterprise objectives are achieved.
  • Provide advice on design and implementation of system changes that will ensure they are maintainable, extensible and result in positive business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the APS code of conduct.

Location and Contract Term:
The role is based in ACT.  12 month contract with 2 x 12 months extensions, at clients sole and absolute discretion.  Estimated start date of 8 November to 30 June 2022.

Security Requirements:
Must have current negative vetting level 1 clearance.
