Job Description

the Australian government's lead agency is seeking an experienced one full time System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) systems engineer to administer all aspects of the SCCM environment on two research network systems with a strong focus on cyber security.  Duties including management of the SCCM & WSUS environments, application packaging and deployment via SCCM, OS deployments and providing 3rd level support.
Skills and Knowledge required / Major Responsibilities:
Required technical skills and experience includes minimum of 5 years administering, managing and/or supporting in most of the following disciplines:
  1. Windows server environments 2016, 2019
  2. Active Directory
  3. Application packaging, software distribution and deployment
  4. Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) administration
  5. SCCM application packaging and deployment
  6. Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) administration
  7. Patching and deployment via WSUS/SCCM
  8. Scripting/automation
  9. Strong analytical and problem solving skills in the above
Location of work: South Australia/ Victoria
Length of contract: up until 30 June 2022
Contract extensions: 2 x 1 year extensions OR 4 x 6 month extensions
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, we will accept applications where personnel have a minimum Negative Vetting level 1, provided that an application to progress to NV2 is submitted by the supplier within 1 month of commencement.
