Job Description


One of our Federal Government clients is seeking to engage two suitably qualified Project Manager -Integration, to support the Modernisation Program Delivery Team.

The Project Manager, Integration works alongside other Indigo team members and the Systems Integrator to successfully support the efficient execution of the Indigo Program, including delivery of technical projects to time, costs, quality, and scope. This is a leadership position reporting directly to the Program Delivery Manager. In conjunction with the Indigo leadership team, the role manages the delivery, budget and scheduling of the technical work packages within program. The role will be responsible for the work output of numerous multi-disciplinary teams comprised of staff, the System Integrator and individual Solution Providers. The Project Manager, Integration is required to foster a collaborative working environment, innovation and creative thinking.

The role is also accountable for contract management, ensuring that contract terms are adhered to and that the work is completed within agreed timeframes and budgetary parameters. The position is also responsible for managing key relationships with stakeholders that facilitate successful delivery of the Program, specifically managing the complex relationship between internal ICT capabilities, the System Integrator and individual Solution Providers will be an absolute cornerstone of this role.

Key position responsibilities
  • Provide operational oversight of the technical deliverables of the Indigo Program in collaboration and consultation with the Program Delivery Manager, the System Integrator, individual technology Solution Providers and the Technical Assurance Team from the program.
  • Actively request, coordinate, manage, oversee and prioritise the provision of internal ICT services required by the Program.
  • Ensure relevant risks and dependencies are proactively mitigated, identified and managed.
  • Coordinate with the Program Delivery Manager and Indigo leadership team to build, develop and execute program schedules that align with the short and long-term objectives of the Program.
  • Contribute to the development of statements of work, procurement planning and activities, and vendor selection.
  • Drive effective program/project management practices in alignment with organisational metrics and standards, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery performance.
  • Monitor technical projects against project plans, manage priorities and be responsive to changes in requirements.
  • Drive program engagement and relationships with the System Integrator and technology providers to guarantee alignment between the department requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage technical vendor relationships on behalf of the program and the Executives by holding vendors to account and ensuring parity in the information vendors receive.
  • Take the lead on contract development, review and management on behalf of the Program
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including negotiating engagement with specialist expertise, and capitalise on the knowledge and skills of others within the program and the department.
  • Provide expertise for escalated quality concerns, anticipate and provide mitigation strategies for risks in the development cycle.
  • Produce high quality project/program documentation and status reporting for Executive and steering committee reporting.
  • Other duties as required.

Location and Contract Term:
This role can be based in NSW, ACT, QLD or VIC, with an estimated start date of 6 December 2021 to June 2022, with a possible 2x 24 months extension.   

Security Requirements:
Must be Australian citizens and must have a current Baseline security clearance and the ability to obtain NV 1 Security Clearance.
