Seeking an Integration Quality Assurance Manager to lead and manage integration test deliverables for large programs of work with several contributing test managers  

The Role

The Integration Quality Assurance Manager's role is to lead and manage integration test deliverables for large programs of work with several contributing test managers. Ensure best quality assurance and control testing techniques are applied appropriately throughout the SDLC to uncover issues early and to derive the scope of testing that satisfies the expectations of the agency. Contribute to the development and implementation of the business area’s quality assurance framework that aligns to the test policy of the agency. Identify and coordinate test environments to ensure they meet the purpose adequately for effective and efficient testing.

Key tasks and duties include but not limited to the following:
  • Manage the timely delivery of testing outcomes and the quality of testing processes.
  • Collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
  • Plan, develop, and manage test strategy/test plan/test cases for different levels of testing at various stages of testing on appropriate testing platforms.
  • Oversee application of existing automation methods and support management in higher adoption of test automation methods.
  • Identify and coordinate test environments including requesting sufficient data to ensure they meet the purpose adequately for effective and efficient testing.
  • Analyse production interactions/incidents and problems to assess the effectiveness and efficiently of testing processes and contribute to continuous process improvements based on various test metrics.
  • Lead and manage staff, including overseeing the management of performance, attendance, health and wellbeing.
  • Develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning to increase performance, engagement, and retention.

Skills and Experience Required:
Mandatory Criteria

  • 3+ years of test integration management experience in a large, complex government ICT environment or industry equivalent.
Weighted Criteria

  • Recent experience managing testing deliverables in a complex ICT environment built on technologies M204, COBOL, SAP, Java or Angular.
  • Demonstrated experience managing test activities throughout all phases of the software test life cycle.
  • Proven experience developing and reviewing effective test strategies/test plans that encourages implementation of ISTQB test techniques during test matrix design.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring staff to excel in their roles.
  • Possess great understanding of mainframe and front-end technology stacks and can plan and oversee automation activities at various layers e.g. API automation.
  • Proven experience building and managing key stakeholder relationships.
Location and Contract Term:

Canberra Based – 6 Month Contract with 1 X 12 possible contract extension

Must be an Australian Citizen.
