Experience & Skills:
The successful user researcher will work in the Design Lab; a multidisciplinary human-centred design team that supports major partnership projects with business areas within the Department. They will primarily be responsible for working with a research lead and a small team of designers and policy experts to develop a departmental strategy that is fit for purpose and champions the needs of the end user. Experience working in Scrum teams and an ability to be an energetic quick thinker who can rapidly synthesise and communicate information is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) will be essential. An understanding of the Australian health policy or service landscape would be an advantage.
• Facilitate events and activities
• Identify preferred research participant cohorts
• Develop user research plan
• Develop user research discussion guides
• Develops recruitment plan
• Capability building for supporting participants
• Deliver user research interviews
• Lead synthesis of patient findings
• Drafts user research reports
Location and Contract Term:
The role is based in Canberra, with an estimate start of 24 January for 3 months with a 2 x 3-month extension options.
