Our government client is currently seeking a Data Linkage and Research Officer to join their team! The primary purpose of the role is to co-ordinate and support the establishment, delivery, management, monitoring and evaluation of the evidence-based systems and improvement programs to contribute to the achievement of project outcomes and Divisional objectives.

The responsibilities of the role is as follows:
- Provide effective coordination of the division’s data linkage projects to ensure timely availability of the linked data assets needed to support key programs of work.
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of detailed project scopes and briefs, development, monitoring and reporting on project plans, coordinating resources, and monitoring milestones and deliverables, to support the achievement of project outcomes and Division objectives.
- Conduct and commission research such as literature reviews to inform the development of new products and programs and optimise existing projects.
- Establishment of relationships and ongoing liaison with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of project outcomes and divisional objectives.
- Prepare a range of project documentation, including reports, correspondence, discussion papers and responses to ensure the provision of accurate and relevant materials and inform key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the design and development of evidence-based products, and optimise existing products to support clinicians in the health community in line with relevant policies, quality standards and objectives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure programs and products are sensitive to, and meet the needs of the end users to support the successful delivery of projects that promote equitable health outcomes across NSW.
- Delivering multiple project initiatives and outcomes within tight time frames given the need to manage competing priorities and resourcing.
- Identifying and communicating trends, issues and practices to inform projects and decisions given the need to maintain currency of expertise across a diverse portfolio of projects and programs.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Health-related tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience and knowledge of health research and project management methodologies.
- Experience in the project management of data linkage and/or other health research projects.
- Experience in carrying out medical and scientific literature searches and preparing literature reviews for further analysis.
- Expertise in gathering and critically analysing evidence, synthesising information, interpreting the information in terms of the bigger picture, and identifying links between ideas and pieces of information.
