About the role:
This role will be responsible for assisting the analysis, development, and delivery of technical solutions (with a focus on Data), to solve business problems within a Project environment.
Total contract length is expected to be 2-3 years in total.
Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement. 2 days in office p/week!

About the role:
This role will be responsible for assisting the analysis, development, and delivery of technical solutions (with a focus on Data), to solve business problems within a Project environment.
- Working with Business and Technical Stakeholders to understand the current and to-be Technology landscape and undertake a gap analysis, identifying and suggesting opportunities to improve the Business / System Processes, Technology and Business Landscape
- Documentation of GCM Application Strategy, GCM Project Scope and Business Requirements
- Documentation of Functional Data and Technical Services Requirements Specification (when the need is for Waterfall methodology), and Requirements in the form of Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria (when they need is for Agile methodology). There could be instanced where hybrid methodologies are being run.
- Facilitating Project Scope, Functional, Data and Solution Definition workshops
- Facilitating, leading and guiding the team through Agile ceremonies such as Epic and User Story Grooming Sessions, Story Point Estimation Sessions, User Story/Acceptance Criteria Walkthroughs, Sprint Showcases, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives.
- Analysing complex Data patterns emanating from various Technology sources and interfacing / downstream / upstream applications.
- Gathering, analysing, manipulating, merging, translating, and defining Data from source to destination systems, and documenting such Data flows in a suitable format for system designers, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to consume, review and approve.
- A major focus on Data mapping and Data definition from consumer system, middleware, to source system components (GCM application components).
- Reviewing and providing feedback on business and technical documentation, such as business cases, business requirements documents, change management plans, solution designs, technical specifications, test cases and scripts, implementation plans etc.
- Supporting the Requirements through the Design and Development Phases, Functional Test Defect Resolution, Implementation and Warranty Periods.
- At least 5 years of experience (combined) across the following fields: Business Analysis, Technical Analysis, and Data Analysis
- Tertiary qualifications in Business / Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Process analysis and Process re-engineering experience
- Data Analysis (e.g. data lineage analysis, A-C mapping, data profiling, data querying) and Data Migration experience
- Systems Integration and Migration Experience with exposure to various integration technologies, especially APIs
- API experience is highly regarded
- Essential - Practical Experience in delivering end-to-end Agile and Waterfall Projects in the role of a BA, including exposure to all related delivery processes, principles, best practices, tools, and techniques
- A strong understanding of, and experience in, Technology and Business Systems strategically and operationally
- At least 2 – 3 years’ Financial Services Experience
- SQL skillset would be very beneficial for this role and some basic SQL experience is required.
- Excellent Communication, Requirements Analysis, Technical Analysis, Data Analysis and Technical / Functional Documentation Skills
- Exceptional Attention to Detail and Problem-Solving Skills
- The ability to deliver to tight timelines in a team-based, complex environment, with a high level of resilience
- A high level of flexibility and adaptability and be able to respond to a very dynamic project environment
