We are Looking for a Project Support Officer that is an organised and outcomes orientated individual with good communication skills, confident in supporting a number of technical projects and work packages from concept to delivery.
The PSO will support the planning and implementation of projects by assisting with tasks including; requirements management, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, resource allocation, risk and issues management, and communicating formally and informally on the project’s progress.
The PSO also assist with uplifting the maturity of project governance within the section.
Major Responsibilities:
Location: This role is required to be performed in Canberra, ACT.
Contract terms: 12 month contract. Part time Engagements may be considered.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes at a SFIA Level of Responsibility 3.
Security Requirements: Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance OR have held a TSPV in the previous 12 month period (which has since been downgraded). Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.

- Assist with leading and managing activities for planning, development and implementation of projects and systems to meet organisational requirements.
- Assist with improvement and enhancement of organisational project methodologies.
- Assist with the initiation and management of procurements to support program and organisational requirements.
- Assist with project review and reporting mechanisms.
- Assist with project financial management, change control and quality reporting.
- Assist with co-ordinating project resourcing according to project priorities.
- Escalate issues and seek advice from management in a timely manner.
- Contribute to organisational resourcing to meet business requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures.
