A large federal government department supporting Defence capability delivery across Australia. This role contributes to a high-impact program at RAAF Base Amberley, focused on commercial contract management within a complex and integrated workforce.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to support commercial operations across the full contract lifecycle—from planning and tendering to contract formation, management, and closure. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Defence and industry, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement planning, tendering, contract formation, and closure activities.
- Provide commercial advice across legal, financial, and technical domains.
- Collaborate with Defence entities
- Mentor and support contract management officers to build commercial capability.
- Review deliverables, support contract meetings, and resolve disputes.
- Evaluate tenders and support contract amendments and change proposals.
- Strong background in contract administration within Defence or government.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing demands.
- Familiarity with Defence procurement frameworks and ERP/NDS requirements.
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory).
- Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance(mandatory).
This is a contract opportunity:
- Contract until 30 June 2026
- $900–$1,100/day
- Based at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD
- Work on a nationally significant Defence capability program
