Digital Projects Manager

The Role:

Under general direction, as a member of the Digital Experience team, the Digital Projects Manager will play a key role supporting the Head, Digital Experience and project team members in the delivery of key digital projects for audiences and staff. This will include, but is not limited to, website upgrades, digital engagement initiatives and deployment of customer relationship management system modules (Salesforce) within the Public Programs Branch. These projects run concurrently, so the ability to organise and manage multiple projects and workload is essential for this role. The position involves internal and external stakeholder engagement, the planning and delivery of all facets of the projects and initiatives from within branch resources and project budgets.

The successful candidate will be a keen collaborator with strong project management skills and attention to detail, with proven multi-tasking experience across a range of concurrent small and medium digital experience based projects, in a corporate or government environment. They will be able work productively in small-team environment with specialist stakeholders and will take pride in the sense of purpose and quality, engaging outcomes for our audiences.


Primary Duties:  

  • Plan, manage, monitor and review digital engagement projects to support the Memorial’s digital outreach initiatives and customer relationship system and process changes.
  • Support the delivery of digital engagement projects, such as website design and functionality upgrade, transcription platforms for archival collection content, and the extension of Salesforce capability and integration of existing business processes and services into a customer relationship platform (Salesforce).
  • Effectively liaise and engage with internal staff and project teams from within the business areas of Digital Experience section and from within ICT, Communications and Marketing, Education. Events and Visitor Services, to develop requirements and achieve outcomes.
  • Manage the conduct and operation of the internal CRM user group across the Public Programs Branch.
  • Deliver programs and schedules, monitor and report on progress, identify issues and provide innovative and creative solutions to problems as they arise. Collaborate with the Digital Experience Team and other stakeholders to develop solutions.

Skills and Experience Required:
Strong knowledge, experience with, and understanding of digital and web technologies
Demonstrated experience in project management of digital projects, creating and managing integrated project and resource schedules that align dependencies and deliverables, track progress and minimise project risk.
Demonstrated project reporting and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise to deliver on concurrent projects with both short and long-term deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
High level stakeholder engagement experience and skills, with demonstrated ability to understand, negotiate and resolve complex, difficult, and/or sensitive issues which may arise within a project.
 

Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Canberra. Immediate start and contract till May 2026.
