About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ICT Contract Manager (EL1 equivalent) to oversee complex ICT contract management activities within a high-security government setting. This role involves managing the full contract lifecycle, negotiating terms, ensuring compliance, and driving performance improvements across ICT contracts. You’ll work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing ICT contracts from initiation to renewal/expiry
- Negotiating terms and resolving complex contractual issues
- Monitoring supplier performance and compliance
- Leading change control and variation negotiations
- Supporting procurement planning and documentation
- Driving continuous improvement and strategic contract outcomes
To be successful, you will bring:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ICT contract management, legal or procurement
- Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation, and government procurement frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field (Diploma of Contract Management and Cert IV in Procurement and Contracting desirable)
- Demonstrated experience with Commonwealth Procurement Rules, PGPA Act, and contract management principles
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
- NV1 security clearance is essential; candidates with a current Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) are highly preferred
- Willingness to undergo the agency’s OSA process prior to engagement
- Location: Canberra ACT or Brisbane QLD
- Contract Duration: Initial 12 months with 2 x 12-month extension options

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT or Brisbane, QLD.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Our client requires a minimum NV1 (Negative Vetting 1) security clearance is required for this position. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
