About the Role
As a Lead ICT Security Specialist, you’ll conduct technical assessments of secure environments, simulate adversary tradecraft, and identify vulnerabilities in systems and applications. This EL1-equivalent role involves penetration testing, evaluating security controls, and developing custom tools for automation and testing.
The Successful Candidate
You must be an Australian citizen with a minimum NV2 or TSPV clearance and be willing to undergo a psychological Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA).
Essential criteria:
- 5+ years in infrastructure/web app penetration testing.
- Experience with the Information Security Manual.
- Proven skills in exploiting vulnerabilities in enterprise networks and web apps.
Desirable criteria:
- Certifications (e.g. OSCP, GPEN, OSWE).
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript).
- Tool development for secure/classified systems.
- Advanced web app testing knowledge.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT or Melbourne, VIC.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
