The department requires Senior SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) Specialist to provide ongoing Business as Usual and project support as well as maintenance and enhancement of the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud Platform (Services).
Proposed Personnel should be motivated, self-starters who are able to work independently as well as collaboratively within the broader team.
Key duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate/s key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analysis of business requirement
- Attend meetings when required
- Deliver business requirements using standard SAP functionality
- Design and implementation of SAP FICO solutions within the SAP application landscape
- Detailed transactional information to internal and external auditors as required
- Develop and/or contribute to client Statements of Work
- Document all systems changes
- Establish good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Guidance on technical feasibility and appropriateness of changes or proposed new solutions
- Providing advice and clarification of processes to end users and business stakeholders as required
- Providing advice on FICO best practices
- Resolve production incidents – FICO related, including helpdesk tickets
- Rigorously test system solutions with real business scenarios
- Support FICO Team technical activities
- Translate Business needs into functional requirements and design

Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Canberra. 12 month contract with 2 x 12-month extension option pending budget and delegate approval.Flexible work arrangements will be considered in line with the Department’s Flexible Work Policy
